MIDI keys vs. keyboard shortcuts...difference?
I control some VST synth paramters with MIDI keyboard faders. The SWS action "Show FX chain for selected tracks (selected FX)" allows me to re-focus on my FX chain window to enable control, if I clicked away from the window for some reason.
When I trigger the action with the desktop keyboard (in this case, the = key) this works perfectly.
However, when I trigger the action with a button on my MIDI keyboard, it focuses the FX chain window but it also resets the current VST to a default patch (the preset name remains the same, so saving the preset doesn't help).
What's going on? Can this be defeated? What's being sent with a MIDI button push that isn't being sent with a keyboard press?
Thanks for your time
