Default Patching

Help please.
I am using various takes of my bass guitar to make the best version possible. However, certain notes are poor quality in all the takes, so I would like to take the notes from further on in the song and replace the poor-quality ones. I suppose I have to delete the bad notes and copy and paste the goods ones. Is there an easier way of doing this?

Probably not. Sometimes you just have to do the work.
Even better is to keep doing takes until you get a few that are good all the way through. It makes you a better player.

copy and paste ( you don't have to delete first), or use this 'flying edit' technique

I literally never use copy and paste because ctrl-drag is just easier and more intuitive for me.

This is great. I have about four or five dodgy bass notes and I am just dragging some sweeter sound ones to patch over them.

Bravo! Now you should go the extra mile & make sure they all have nice short crossfades. You will be able to tell if they need work if you hear a click around the edited note.
Even more info: You can also fine tune each item (i.e. each dropped-in note) for volume, pitch, and duration if needed.
