Quickly tested v5.91rc1 for the VST3 instantiation issue with HALion Sonic 3, HALion 6, and Groove Agent 4 VST3 plugins, and it now appears resolved. The plugin pin connector also looks good for those plugins.

Thanks, Justin!

For reference, the original thread on this issue was here: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=207252

Renaming tracks is causing some windows to visibly redraw. Noticed in pre3, persists in RC1. Windows 8.1, x64.

Just a guess, maybe related to # Routing windows: repopulate channel selection list when track channel count changes.

I bet it’s the same in 5.90

Yes, you're right. I've just checked and here is the same behaviour.

+ VST3: do not inform VST3 of track channel changes by default, allow override for all instances of a plug-in or per-instance with channel count instead

This seems to have fixed the issue with Softube Tape.vst3
Nice

Rewire doesnt work with the icc 18 64 bit version on mac. But when i install the official version rewire works perfectly. I am trying to run reaper as rewire slave with protools. Can you pls make rewire work in icc18 releases ?

P.S: The video bug (mentioned in the below link) which was solved in icc 18 releases still exists in all the official releases...

FYI -- I just noticed a hang on plugin scanning with 5.91rc1, and I also just tested it on 5.91 that was just posted.

The hang occurs when Reaper x64 (Win 10 Pro) is run with "reset configuration" from startup, and it forces a rescan of everything -- and Reaper hangs on scanning iZotop Nectar 2.dll.

I loaded the task manager, and it shows AuthAssistant.exe as Reaper is scanning Nectar 2 and hangs.

Attached is a screenshot.

Yep, I did. I don't normally like to cross post, but I noticed 5.91 pop up and then I did the test, then new thread, etc., etc.

not sure exactly what ShowPopupMenu is, but i guess, one element like this could be very relevant too.

Changing screensets in all Windows still has redraws every time.
Can you apply whatever fix you're doing to this dialog box to that screenset code maybe? That sure would be nice partner. Those redraws make screensets practically impossible to use on Windows unless you want to have a small seizure every time. Danke.
