A new experimental feature has been released:

Dragonfly Reverb 1.1.0: Decay Time Dial

This introduces a new dial that controls the decay time independent of the room size.

It should be backward compatible, if you load it in projects that used Dragonfly 1.0.0, it is programmed to set the decay time based on the preset you had picked.

Unfortunately I don't think that this fixes the bugs that have been reported, but I am still looking into fixing them.

Nice! This could easily be my go-to reverb now. That's a pretty big feature which was just added. In case anyone doesn't realize: it can make this have long reverbs, up to 10 seconds long.

Bugs I noticed:

-The same graphics glitch for the visualizer area. After switching to/from it (looking at other plugin windows or just opening/closing the plugin repeatedly), after a few "re-appearances" of the plugin the glitch happens. It only involves the first section on the left being almost totally white (about 20% of it).

-Width control always reverts to 50% (lowest setting) when switching away from the plugin and then switching back to it. The sound is unchanged though (it's just showing the knob being in the wrong spot).

-I was able to make the plugin keep outputting ~10Hz ("DC offset") at a low level but noticeable on the meter, long after the decay had ended. I'd been switching to/from it a lot (comparing it to other reverbs), changing settings a lot, and enabling/disabling it often, so I don't know what caused it. To cure the glitch I loaded a different preset, then returned to the one I'd been using. I couldn't seem to make the glitch happen again.

In case it helps, here's my OpenGL info:

Code:
server glx version string: 1.4
client glx version string: 1.4
GLX version: 1.4
    Max core profile version: 4.5
    Max compat profile version: 3.0
    Max GLES1 profile version: 1.1
    Max GLES[23] profile version: 3.2
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 13.0.6
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.50
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 13.0.6
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.2 Mesa 13.0.6
OpenGL ES profile shading language version string: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 3.20

Thanks for testing this out again. At least none of those seem like absolute show stopper bugs. I think I might be on to something with the white spectrogram bug, and the one about the width dial shouldn't be too hard. I don't have a clue about the 10Hz one, that's really weird, but if you find a way to reproduce it, please let me know.

Will do! Thanks for continuing to improve on this plugin!

And yeah, it's stable and it can save presets fine etc., so it has a home in my VST folder.

Could you (and/or anybody else) try out v1.1.1? It fixes the problem with the width dial, and possibly fixes the spectrogram display bug, which I'm not getting on Ardour anymore.
