Default Yamaha 01X Studio Manager

Anyone here using 01X and Studio Manager under Windows Vista?

I've had the 01X running happily for years but not used Studio Manager for a good while. Studio Manager worked fine under XP. I've just tried loading it under Vista but it won't let me select midi port 4 to hook it up to the 01X. I believe it works ok under Windows 7.

Has anyone else experienced any problems with Studio Manager under Vista or does anyone have any tips as to how to get it working?

Also, is there any way of getting the channel pan settings to show up on the 01X when using it as a remote controller for REAPER.

Thanks in anticipation.

Default Software Update?

Not sure this is relevant because I don't use the 01X, but I do use Studio Manager and discovered after the interface with my S90ES stopped working that Yamaha had updated the USB-MIDI software. As I said, not sure this is relevant.

If you're new at anything technologically related we recommend you stick with specialty retailers and avoid the major corporate chains since their stuff may not be as versed in what you need for cable management.
