Default Hung notes in Reaper when rewired into Logic

Hi there,

I am evaluating Reaper at the minute and I'm loving it's stability, efficiency wise it leaves logic in the dust. I have it set up as a rewire slave to Logic, I am not using IAC internal midi bus but the rewire midi ports that come up in Logic once the programs see each other, everything is working wonderfully with very minimal latency HOWEVER I am experiencing massive amounts of hung notes which will sound until I press play in Reaper, also when sustain pedal information is added to the equation things get even messier. Everything is so close to working beautifully but unfortunately I will not be purchasing Reaper unless I can resolve this issue.

Please, please help.

Thanks,

Mark.

Could you describe the setup a little more? Which app is sending MIDI to which, and which app is getting hanging notes?

Logic is sending midi to Reaper via the rewire midi bus, not the IAC bus. I am experiencing hung notes in Reaper when using most soft synths, it is certain to happen during playback if I move a midi note in Logic, I can understand that but it happens all the time anyway and I am constantly having to return to Reaper to press play and stop in order to stop the hung notes. My rewire settings within Logic are set to Live Response (Higher CPU Mode) buffer set to 256. I don't experience any audio drop outs, crashes or sluggish behavior which leads me to believe it is not a CPU issue.

Thanks,

Mark.

I also experience this. I am running reaper as a rewire slave to cubase5, and I get hung notes in reaper whenever I hit stop on the cubase5 transport. The hung notes continue to play until I hit stop on the reaper transport.

edit: I am running win7, this came up in a search and I didnt realize it was the OSX forum.
