Customize Menu/Toolbar - workflow improvements
I was adding some Actions to a Toolbar in the Customise Menu/Toolbars window
(a) I could select several Actions in the Action List, but clicking [Select] only added the first one
-- add a feature to insert several Actions at once
(b) I had to select each one, and click [Select] - and that added them in reverse order, needing dragging to get them in the desired order
-- change the feature to add the new Action AFTER the selected menu item
(c) Add a feature to drag one (or several) Action(s) from the Action List into the Customize menu window
(d) when I Rename a menu item, the dialogue window is positioned away from the mouse, requiring redundant mouse movement to "mouse-edit the name", then more mouse movement back to select another menu item to Rename
-- change it to display the dialogue window near to (to the right or left of) the mouse
-- this applies throughout Reaper for all dialogue windows.

It would also be nice to be able to customize ALL the menus and submenus, for example the one you get when right-clicking on the tcp envelope button:
Don't need all that in there. Only displaying the track automation mode would be nice.

Consolidated here from other FR Issues:
---------------------------------------
From: http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=3519
List the Toolbars and Menus in alphabetical order to make it easier to find the right one. [Some may need renaming too, so that the names are more intuitive.]
---------------------------------------
From: http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=4252
(a) Add a feature to collapse / hide the Default menu on the right-hand side so that the Customised menu lines can be read in full and the window kept smaller. Or make the central divider draggable.
(b) When a text icon name is entered, show the Action name too in the list
... Big pic: https://i.imgur.com/5lD0sCe.png
(c) use the full width of the window for previewing the toolbar and also change the height of that preview window by dragging a divider up/down
NB the preview does not always reflect the actual toolbar (raised as a separate Bug report http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=106833 )

* Allow changing the text of the action associated to the button WITHOUT REMOVING THE ICON that's associated to the button. In essence, just modifying the tooltip.
This annoys me to no end.

I'll see your FR and raise you with another:
Exporting a single Menu / Toolbar does not Export the Title. Exporting All Menus / Toolbars does.
[both added to Issue Tracker FR]

I'm going all-in with menu entries to open the customization window directly from any customizable menu - with the correct menu highlighted - like that context menu entry "Customize toolbar..." for toolbars does.

the main improvement i'd like to see is being able to cut and paste more multiple items between toolbars (sometimes i want to rearrange/consolidate various toolbar buttons, and this is a royal pita doing it one by one).
a second idea would be to add the feature the mouse-modifiers have, which automatically open to the last attempted mouse-action (if you left drag an item and then go to edit your mouse modifier prefs, item-left-drag is the section you will see).
in this case, the menu editor would open to the last viewed menu or toolbar. the list of editable items in the editor isn't even alphabetical and some of the names are confusing. this would save a lot of time trying to find the one we want to edit and scare off less noobs from using the feature at all.

on Windows you can force dialogs to appear near the mouse as a system preference, but some of reaper's windows obey this as well (even though they are not really dialogs) and it got annoying having to reposition those, so i turned it back off.
in fact, reaper was the only problem which didn't work well with the feature.
maybe the second part of the FR could be modified to simply make Reaper more compatible with the feature overall? I'll try it again and see which windows exactly were problematic....

and this!! ^^^^
why isn't "text icon" simply "rename?" can just put an option on that dialog to use a text icon...right next to the double width option...

I also strongly feel the "close toolbar" action should be right at the bottom of the first context menu. So silly that it's under "position toolbar" when it's the action people (me, at least) will use most often when right clicking a floating toolbar. \
Maybe you would like to include that?

Has this been solved yet ? Do I still have to copy paste one by one the actions from one toolbar to the other ?

Can't believe those toolbar requests about multi copying/adding actions have already taken place in 2011. ( •_•)
Edgemeal, thanks for the hint. Though the idea of editing menus outside of Reaper feels a bit silly.

I hear ya, and its also windows only, I only use it when I need to make a lot of changes.
You can't do it in reaper cause it will overwrite the file when you exit, so until there is native support for these requests you out of luck.

I have little bugs but it works. While opening:
And also when I delete a toolbar and then load a new one, every icons disapear, I close and reopen and everything is fine (aside from the opening message) and the new toolbar is there.

v1.14 - Jan 13, 2019
* 'reaper-menu.ini' entries without 'title=' line caused errors.
* 'ReaBar.exe.config' file was not included, caused errors on start up.

Hope that fixes it.

+1 +more...
I'd add to this quite a lot...
The ability to filter left and right panes - for example to only show the difference between left and right panes, which would be great for seeing updated menu items that might need adding to customised menus.
Also the ability to show any menu or toolbar in either pane and yes easily drag and drop between them to single or multiple items in any order.
The ability to edit basic text attributes so that you could for example have different text colour.
And lastly the addition of at least some basic icons
