Save MIDI Quantize Settings Between Items

hello everyone apologies if there's a thread on this elsewhere, but i'm wondering about quantize settings for MIDI in reaper.

when i set quantize settings (say 1/4) and apply them to midi items then switch to another midi window and apply different quantize settings (say 1/8), the display from the first window does not remain when i switch back. in this example, the first window would then match the quantize settings of the second window (1/8). this is causing me problems when programming swing for drums in particular, as it would be helpful to know how i quantized a certain section. this also happens with key snap/chord settings in MIDI windows.

is there a way to save the quantize/key snap settings in an individual window so that they don't change to whatever i adjust them to in another window!?
