Default Snap stretch markers to grid snaps them OFF the grid!

This thing has happened to me a bunch of times in the past in different versions of reaper, now at v7.18

I put stretch markers into my item and then go and snap to grid...

... but it snaps them some distance away from the grid, not ON the grid!

I figured I'll throw this one out here before I file a bug report.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

What are your snap settings? How do you move the stretch markers? Can you repeat this issue with verified steps and/or give us an example project where this happens?

Took me a while to figure out what Snap Settings are. Must have been using them in automation. But I suppose this is what you mean:

I MIGHT have a way to replicate my issue:

I have a slowly accelerating tempo, applied with the intention of humanizing.

I recorded my item, then applied stretch markers, did the snap to grid thing and huzzah, properly snapped.

I did NOT glue it.

As I'm lazy, I duplicated the item and put the duplicate on the next verse, similarly accelerating tempo, but at a different pace. I applied the Snap to Grid and...

BOO! This is where it happens.

The strech markers don't snap to the grid but somewhere between the current grid lines and at least seemingly properly timed but off the grid.

If at this point I align the item by the stretch markers AND hit Snap to Grid again, it throws them off as described before.

Like, shouldn't it just... you know, snap to the grid, whatever, not throw itself off like that?

EDIT: Turns out I don't need to do even that. I recorded bits separate from each other on the same track for each verse. The second clip blows up upon snapping the stretch markers to grid as described above.

Thanks for the details. Unfortunately so far I haven't been able to replicate the issue by using your or mine snap settings. Not by moving stretch markers manually, nor by using the action Item: Snap stretch markers to grid.

Yeah. So it seems. It would appear this qualifies as a bug.
