Hi all,
I'm working on a project, which is basically taking some music from an old video game and re-recording it with actual guitars and stuff. Just a fun little thing. I've got a copy of the original MIDI file, which I'm using as reference for learning and I've imported this into Reaper, which will help save some time with drum programming, as I can take the actual track from the original file. Or so I thought...
When I import it into Reaper, it automatically sets the project tempo as the original file. My first problem is that original file is set at some absurdly low and specific tempo, something like 37.658, so what should be 1/4 notes end up actually being something like 1/16 notes. The second problem is that it looks like the notes were never set to a grid (this is a game from 1994) and importing it then quantizing just throws things off worse.
I feel like there's got to be an easier way of fixing this rather than sitting there and manually moving every single MIDI note? For anyone's reference, the MIDI file I'm working with is here:

I'm fairly new to Reaper, so if anyone can offer any advice, I would be eternally grateful!
