suggestions mix Rock
Hello everyone. I would like some feedback on the sonic performance of this chorus. In particular, how could I improve the power guitar?
Thanks to those who want to give suggestions.

Sound good to me, asymmetrical sounding (brighter tone in the left channel) but it will probably bother only symmetry freaks like me.

where's the volume control on this page ? Guitars sound too soft and not distorted enough for my taste.

Thank you for listening. What do you suggest to make the guitars sound improve?

Grazie! Coachz!Maybe I should change my pickups too and maybe take some EMG
How does the rest of the mix seem to you?

I'll have to listen to it again. I prefer more classic rock pickups for a more AC/DC sound and not as over driven but that's just me.
I play JB in bridge and the jazz model in neck

A Marshall dsl40cr rocks nicely

What mics do you have?
Also, do you have some reference tracks of a similar style you can compare your tracks to?

I made this recording with Amplitube vst.
I wish I had a Halestorm type sound but I know it's pure science fiction for me!

I just gave it another listen and I think you are on the right track. Whenever you ask for listens I would also try to find out what they are listening through. Here's it's KRK8's and a KRK 10 sub.
I love the chorus vocals. I would open the top more on them. I also prefer less kick in mixes and a bit more low on the bass. The chorus reminds me of Abba and that's a good thing. Would love to hear some crunching tube distorted guitar in the mix. The arpeggio guitar can come up a bit in the mix along with the guitar at the end. More highs on the snare to give it more snap too.
Way to go.

Cool sounding song!
I agree with Coachz regarding the kick bass and snare.
I didn't have any issues with the guitars.

Sounds better, for the bass and the kick, even if the kick is still a bit in front. But the guitar is sounding as if the guitarist is a big shy guy who is afraid to be heard. I understand you have to let the singer in front as it is actually, but this part of the song sounds like a hard-rock (don't know what's before and after) and where is the guitar ?
The balance I'm thinking of is here at 1'10 :

Thanks Benf.
Those 1.10 guitars are just what I want to achieve.
Do you think it is enough in my song to raise the volume?

Reno from the french forum is the drummer of that band and he's the guy who made the mix and very good at that. You should MP him for advices.

Nice snippet!
My 2 cents:
Kick is way too loud and the snare is too dark (even on mix 2). Guitars need to be way louder and in front.

Guitars louder and also more distorted?
Should I increase the snare drum on which frequency?

Find a few of your favorite songs in that genre that have the very best mixes that you regard highly and use those as your references. It's much easier to get the sound you want when you know the sound you want

The second one. I'm monitoring this through the monitors I always use to mix.
Why? Is it that you disagree with my thoughts?

This version is much better for me. Bass, kick and snare are right thanks Coachz. Maybe increase a bit the low mid on the guitar to make it louder and put it a bit in front, but for me you nearly got it.

Coachz & Benf. I tried as you suggested to increase the mid-bass to the guitars but it seems to me that then kick and bass recede.
looks muddy now.

I'm not where I can check it out right now but do keep in mind that many of these EQ tweaks are on the order of a half to 2 db
