Default Comping - how can I permanently delete some takes ?

With quite few takes made by comping in one track (many lanes), I wonder how can I delete some of them and to edit only those that make sense for me (not to have so many there , incl. those which I will not use).

right mouse-click --> take --> delete

Maybe you should post these questions in the newby-section of
this forum.

Thank you for the recommendation but not so easy. I see now 3 track lanes, one of them is take 1/3 - empty lane occupying one third of the space. I make it active, try to delete it but it is not deleted and remains there and the second one below becomes active. It occupies one third of the space and cannot be deleted

Verify that "Options: Select takes for all selected items when clicking take lane" is enabled.

There was an option Display empty take lanes The question also is how can I possibly copy one of the takes and move it separately to another track? Cannot find so far...

Copy the whole item (all takes) and then on the new track, Crop to Active Take.

Honestly, though, you might do better just not showing takes in lanes if this kind of thing really bothers you. It generally freaks me out to have "hidden" takes, but a lot of people seem to prefer it.
