Default Qualcomm Elite X CPU Running Reaper?

The tests are coming out for the new Qualcomm Elite X processor and it's even beating the Apple M3 in video editing and all that.

Can this type of CPU run windows? Would it work to run reaper and plugins?

This could be a huge leap in power for windows based systems if it is.

Cheers

The Qualcomm Elite X CPU is being touted as a better Win11 laptop cpu, so I would assume it will run Reaper without issues, since Reaper already runs on Mac ARM processors. We will probably see it in some Surface laptops next year.

REAPER is not yet native on Windows/ARM, though we have made some native test builds, but the demand just isn’t there yet from what I can tell. If it gets there, we will support it.

Will there it a lot of trouble? (development wise)
The PC world (esp. laptop users) can't wait for our M1 moment. I am guessing when it's done, and done right, it will take off.

Some proper competition hurrah!

Apple's eye watering greed when it comes to upgrading from anything but the reasonably priced bottom rung of M series chipset computers may have to come to an end within the next 12-24 months.

The absurd Apple pricing for integrated drive and memory upgrades hopefully won't be able to continue.

Not that I need a new computer for a few years now.

We'll see maybe they will feel some pressure. The hardware and software integration theµ have is hard to beat though, and windows on arm...hopefully good! Competition is always good and Apple hasn't had it for a few years now.
