Cool brass and snyth sounds. Like it. Too much effect for me on vocals and a little overcompressed, bass dynamics are dead, but I suppose it is hip that way, nowadays
Pro tools ?
Great production. Takes me back to when I was enjoying all the German hip hop videos on Viva Zwei channel whilst not understanding a word. Actually the editing here is sorta similar to certain Absolute Beginner video.

Thanks. It's by far the most compressed tune of the album. The other songs are quite dynamic and we wamted this one to stand out in this direction. Pro Tools? Some recordings were done in PT as well as some of the drum editing. Producing and mixing was done in reaper of course
Schick... gefällt mir!
Was davon sind Samples oder eingespielte Instrumente?
Grüße Felix
Thanks! All instruments are played but the track was written in a different direction. So in post we really rearranged especially the drums and exchanged the kickdrum with an electronic sample in the chorus.

You can hear it's Pro Tools sometimes. Some think a daw has no sound, though. I see mixing in Reaper, Reaper can be bad to the low end, but most people listen on smartphone, so who cares about low end haha
But the color of sound can be interesting with a cuvée of PT and Reaper
Well sorry but that's simply not true. Adding signals is just as simple as adding signals. There is no magic going on here. But that's a different srory we ahould not discuss here.

Only want to add, because I do not know you, but when more than one sound engineer, who won Grammy awards, say that PT sounds better than other daws, then I believe them. Do not forget that PT has plugins for PT, only, eg sansamp! And there is no plugin coming even close to it.
And I had PT years ago, and yes sound was better there, but for me sound for my productions is not so important, I prefer a customizable and more stable daw. - I performed in Andalucia togehter with Gypsys and Spanish people, most of them were the best musicians I have ever heard. Soundwise maybe the quality was not that good, but music- and performancewise, the best I have ever heard and seen. Flamenco is played in small venues, in yards, in kitchens and living rooms! Just an example. The focus on your music, of course, is sound, too. But it is first and formeost about music! Win a Grammy, then I will believe you! haha
Why don´t you produce in Reaper only ?
Just do a simple sum and phase reverse test. It nulls completly in every DAW. DAWs don't have a sound. If you use plugins of course, they do have a sound (of course saturation plugin A has different algorithms than plugin B).
I used PT there because the studio we recorded some of the instruments in used PT. Besides, I hate the Reaper take system. PT playlists are far superior.
