Default midi e-drum notes too short

Hi I have my edrum kit connected to the daw and all is fine but it seems that the edrum sends out the notes so short that for some vst they are just not able to pick them up it seems. Is there any way to change the incoming note length? For some drum sample libraries it is fine but some don´t really can pick up the midi signal because I think they were designed to be played on a keyboard which sends out even in staccato a lot longer note values.

thanks for answers

You may be able to change the note length on the edrum kit itself.

You could use a JS FX (to be written) to extend the length of each notes. But the easiest thing to do is, in the MIDI Editor, select all the notes (Ctrl+a), then right-click in any empty area, select Note Properties and change the length.

Optionally, you can change the notes to triangles or diamonds so that you can see them (on the [View[ menu).

I had the same problem years ago with an e-drum kit, couldn't find an answer then, but a few months ago Tale and JimmyTheSaint created a script that solved the problem for me - maybe it will work for you (one of my replies in the thread references my original question in 2016):
