MIDI Hell since upgrading to Audient ID22-Help, please!

Happy (what day is it, anyway?), oh yeah, Thursday, everyone!

I am the proud, new owner of an Audient ID22 (formerly had a Toneport UX2) and things were humming along just fine until I tried to get my Studiologic controller SL88 to work with Reaper.

The SL88 works fine with the standalone plug-ins app (Addictive Keys), but in Reaper, I get the attached error and none of my usual fixes are working (also attached).

I am trying to get some tracks laid down in a hurry (ha!), and would appreciate any and all advice.

Figures I've been working this issue for two days and 10 minutes after I post, it gets fixed:

I deleted all the MIDI devices and let the program rediscover them again and it worked. Now I could swear I tried that before, but it worked this time.
