Default recommendations

need recommendations for a good fairly simple wav file to midi file converter, mainly for drums, doesn't have to be free.

i think specifying "good" probably narrows it down to Melodyne unless you're talking monophonic stuff, even then i'm not sure if it will detect individual drums and put them in GM format for you?

If the drums are separated (high hat on different track than snare, for example) you can use a trigger plugin that spits out a specific midi note each time audoo hits it. I think there is a JS midi trigger plug.

If they are not separated (one instrument per track) I doubt you'll have any luck changing the audio to usable midi.
