Default making notes feature?

Hi there folks. i've been a reaper user for awhile, but am also accustomed to working in protools and there's one feature that i'd like to have in reaper, and perhaps it exists, but i can't figure out where or how to find it... basically, i'd just like to be able to make some sort of comment on each track, aside from the naming feature, if i set up a mic a certain way, or have added effects prior to input on an instrument, i'd like to have some sort of note feature that i can refer back to should i want to repeat it, etc.
Does anyone know how to do this or if it is even possible in the current version?
Thank you!

You can install sws extensions that provide track notes.

I also have a script Track Inspector that provides marker track notes associated with each track. They are for smaller notes and also associated to a certain time or you can add them all at position 0:00
