Default Record MIDI from another Track in OVERDUB mode

Reaper can record MIDI from another track.

However, in the case, it cannot record MIDI in OVDERDUB mode.

Because the option is exclusive between each other.

I hope MIDI can also be recorded in OVERDUB mode in this situation.

Thanks!

I'm looking for a solution to this as well.
Sorry to get your hopes up by bumping this thread!
But just wondering if anyone has a workaround for this.

same. this would solve this issue, that requires me to use a midi loopback device in order to use overdub properly after an input midifx.

being able to overdub from another track would be a step simpler.
