Default SM10 Line Mixer with Reaper

So I'm expecting the arrival of this rack mount mixer tomorrow. I'm not exactly sure how to incorporate it into my DAW setup. I plan to hook several hardware synths up to it and use the sends to go to a hardware reverb and then I want to route the output to my RME babyface pro. I'm just wondering the best way to get the sound from the babyface back into the mixer or if I should go directly from that to the monitors and then also directly from the SM10 to the other monitor input (The speakers have both a XLR and 1/4" input) so I can hear the synths with no latency?

The SM10 has channels 9 & 10 as line in for SFX returns etc... so maybe I could use one of those stereo channels but I'm not sure if that would create a feedback loop.

Any suggestions for how you all would do this is appreciated.

I have that SM10 as well but it's retired now.

I just had it plugged in directly into my audio interface (UFX+) and nothing else - from there it was from UFX+ into speakers. I noticed no problems at all when monitoring.
