Fast way to get automation lane to show up?

Hi guys! I'm learning reaper for Techno production coming from Ableton, really digging it so far.

One thing that kinda hogs my workflow is not being able to get new automation lanes to show up for tracks in a fast way, the ideal scenario would be to press a keyboard key while just left clicking a parameter in a synth for example to get it into it's own automation lane while in trim/read or read mode, is this possible? Not needing to go to the latch preview mode every time(and also having to slightly nod the parameter for it to show up, as in latch preview mode).

Any ideas? Or similar ways to get around this.

I set myself 3 toolbar macros.
Envelope: Toggle show all envelopes for tracks
Envelope: Toggle display all visible envelopes in lanes for tracks
Automation: Toggle track between touch and trim/read mode.

Workflow:

- Click: Automation: Toggle track between touch and trim/read mode.
- Click parameters I want to automate
- Click: Automation: Toggle track between touch and trim/read mode. (this will put it to touch again)

And now I can show or hide the envelopes with the other 2 actions. One will show it on the waveform itself. The other one will roll the automation below the waveform so I can see each automation lane in more detail.

Bonus: I set my midi controller to control first 4 automation lanes on each track

Thank you! I'm incorporating what you said but a little simplier, just using toggle show all tracks for envelopes and switch between touch & trim/read. Awesome!
