Default SOLVED:Installed Reaper, it won't run

The message I get (in a pop-up box) is "No applications found for reaper"

Any ideas?

Can you repeat the installation steps and write what you did? Is Reaper running when you just open the binary without installing it? I'm not at my PC atm.
Edit: choose option 2. You don't need any root password for the installation!

no the portable gives the same message.

I did the whole .sh installation thing (chmod +x etc etc) and the install routine ran fine, chose I, then option 1, then desktop integration Y, and Symlink Y (pretty much as jack winter advised) - and ran it under SUDO as well.

PS: Sorry , thanks for the quick response

I'll mark it as solved, even though I have no idea how I did it??? Just re-downloaded the install files, ran all the commands I did earlier, and now it works. Maybe I missed something? ALthough the install routine did state it ws completed ok earlier too....<IDK>
