Default MIDI Velocity Editing

Hi there, i'm new here, just wanted to see if its possible to add a way to increase or decrease MIDI velocities in a exponential manner, like pro tools does, i love reaper's midi window, that's the one thing i think its missing especially when doing orchestral stuff, that depends completely on velocities. It could also work when editing lets say the mod wheel performance, since doing that with the mouse its pretty tricky.

Thanks in advanced.

Nope, at least not natively.

... Yes. It's possible to alter the mod wheel and pitch wheel using JS plugins, and you can also affect the velocity of MIDI playback with JS plugins so that it reflects a curve of your choice.

examples:

There are others, I think even one might be included with Reaper.

These affect playback only, but you can print their effect to the MIDI later on for export to other DAWs. Or, you can run ReaJS in other DAWs.

REAPER's "Event Properties" dialog window can't convert straight velocity or CC ramps to curves, but you can try the Warp script:

(This is an old, outdated GIF, but does show warping up and down.)
