i liked those roomy drums right off. favorite section was that intense part ending ~2:35. one of your better sounding mixes on top.
It's a drowsy, rainy day here in ATL and I was bored watching some terrible horror movie--this got the blood going. think I'll play some guitar now...

I like it when you do punk. This tune hits the mark for me in a few ways. Great attitude, aggressive playing, interesting arrangement and nicely crafted sections and turnarounds with a lot of style. Great, super tight playing. Excellent tones.

Mix-wise, I think you have made good moves on individual instruments and there is a nice balance of clarity and cohesiveness here. No negative thoughts concerning that aspect of the mix. I am however, straining to hear the kick and the bass, so I think the low end of the mix needs a little more love. What that translates to, if anything, is up to you of course. The vocals would benefit from automating them from section to section as sometimes they are perfectly placed, and other times, they are buried behind other mix elements.

You're awesome dude. This is really cool.

lol.. you always pick out the things that bother me too. I often have this problem but particularly with songs like this. I hate those clicking, heavy compressed kicks that a lot of punk rock songs seem to have so I tried to make it a bit beefier.

I did eq bass and kick quite a bit and side-chained them. Perhaps the bass sc compression could be tightened up a bit?

....and lol again re the vocals. I spent lots of time automating the volume 'til I got sick of it. So that's the result of laziness.... or impatience.

I'm hearing some extra nice guitar tone, especially the raw one that you solo with around 3min, and the snarling rhythm one. Also like the drums on this, really suits the mix.

Thanks man.
I was pretty happy with the guitar tones too.
The L/R panned guitar are way different.... one's a twangy single coil and the other more a crunchy distortion with a heavy bottom end.... but they seem to sit nice together.

Glad you enjoyed
