Default Reaper keeps crashing (no plugins)

Hi,

Since some time my Reaper keeps crashing. I have used Reaper without problems with Big Sur, so nothing important changed.

Even in new projects, when I add tracks, Reaper crashes. I get the spinning coloured wheel and Reaper freezes. No error message, just freeze. I can't do anything more but to force quit Reaper.

This happens even when there isn't loaded any plug in. It happens from the moment i add tracks.

I tried downloading the new version v6.36 - same problem.
I tried using the alternate download (Big Sur version and 64bit version) - same problem...

Anybody a solution?

Using Macbook Pro (2014) - 16GB - quad-core i7

Default

After deleting all files of reaper (all settings inside library), I managed to get Reaper working again.
