Default Region Title Font Size

I use Reaper for live tracks playback and am looking for a way to make the region "bars" and font size a little bigger to be able to see on the fly on stage. I checked the Theme Editor but didn't see any options.

Can this be done?

Thanks!

It's in the theme editor - one of the WALTER fonts. Which one depends on the theme and how is set there I believe. Just change those settings and see what happens.

Gotcha... I am using the default theme and opened the rtconfig.txt file but I can't figure out how to assign one of the WALTER fonts to the Region title.

Is this possible anyone?

OP, you're looking for 'timeline font' in the theme editor.

This is a common mistake, and I completely understand why and sympathise, so everyone please repeat after me a hundred times:

WALTER only affects the Track Panels, Mixer Panels and Transport Bar.

so the old 'hunt for which WALTER font the themer used, and where' game will always be fruitless outside those areas, sorry He'll soon wish they did though... timeline font will also, of course, change the font size of the timeline itself. Which will probably not be desired. And without WALTER, the height of a region box is fixed so there's not much space for bigger text.

We're a long way from WALTER everywhere, I'm afraid.

Oh man, thanks for chiming in White Tie. There was a time when I was aware of that already but forgotten it. :/

When you write that it's kind of sad. IMHO the biggest problem for the ruler isn't the missing Walter but it's broken implementation in the midi editor. I'm curious what's coming after the AI monster is finished.

I don't follow where you're seeing brokenness; there's no WALTER in the MIDI editor either. As Lord Byron once said, "er ...wuh?"

I meant the implementation (no Walter) of the ruler in the midi editor. Was remembering this thread. Ugly stuff in Reaper - some might say broken. I would say it's broken. Well it's functioning but the text rendering is from hell, a broken hell. Even the devil has a better taste. So I don't know where this is coming from. A broken land which has no sense for aesthetics.

Thanks White Tie!

Any status on WALTER development?

This is what I use for my live setup:

I always have a "structure" track at the top of my template.

After I input all my markers on a sequence,
I select my "structure " track and run this action:

1- Convert Markers To Region
2- Save Current track selection
3- X-Raym_Create text item on first selected track from regions.lua ( you'll find this action in the reapack plugin )
4- Restore track Selection
5- Select all items in track
6- set Selected items to respective track color
7- HeDa_toggle Note Stretch to Fit.eel

This will input text items name like the Markers in the sequence. And they can be seen from the other side of the room if you zoom them in.

Here's a screenshot:

Great idea lexaproductions!

I'll try that out! Also, what theme are you using? I've been working on a modified V5 theme for live playback

Yeah. I prefer a dark theme on stage.
I use a version of "iLogic Next".
It's a theme that was made by a guy that makes a lot of Logic themes for Reaper.

Although the option mentioned above is a work around I still would like to request native Region Title font support

Take a look at Kenny's video called TEXT and PICTURES for an easy solution.

You'll find it under his Useful Techniques category.
