Default Audio to Midi Question

If I wanted to use the JS plugin to run audio to MIDI for the sake of triggering a kick sample, how would I "print" the MIDI output of the plugin to the track with the sampler?

One method is to set the record mode of whichever track is receiving the MIDI signal to "Record output MIDI", record enable that track and then hit record.

That would work. Wondering if there is a way to "process" the operation faster than real time, though.

Cool. I was hoping there was a better way.

BTW, there is a JS plug written by Eugen2777 that I think is easier to work with than the standard JS plug. You might like it.

I think theres a more elegant option but its late... can't think of it.

A super quick way would be to set the play rate to a high number - make a second track, record the output of the trigger track to the second track (set the second track to take MIDI as an input).
