Default Auto-close docked FX browser after selecting FX?

Hey everyone--title says it all. This is something that I just haven't found a way to do? I think there's an action for auto-closing an undocked browser. But I'm not sure there is a way to do this for a docked one?

I noticed this, too. A floating fx browser closes automatically when fx is inserted, but a docked browser doesn't. I couldn't find an action to change the option for either of these.

Thanks for chiming in. There is a script that works even with docked FX windows. Check out:

mpl_open fx browser and closer fx browser...

That does the trick, but it works only if you open the FX window using the script. If you open it any other way (e.g., by clicking on an insert-space in the MCP), then no dice.

Thanks, the mpl script works perfectly! I think I can live with the limitation.

Yeah, I made an easy shortcut for it so I remember to use it. But I am so accustomed to clicking in the MCP to insert FX that I frequently forget.

Looking for a way to fix that with a custom action, but haven't looked under the hood to see what might be possible.
