Default Extra option required in Prefs/Editing Behaviour

Hi guys,
Any chance we could have added an option which says:

"Ripple editing does not affect Region and Marker locations".

At the moment (v5.61), if you ripple edit all tracks, downstream markers and regions get moved. For radio spot production where I have predefined regions, I'd like to have them stay where they are.
Thanks in advance!

But isn't that the very purpose of all track ripple editing? Why would you want downstream items to move, but not the markers and regions they pertain to?

Because the way I use region markers is that I have predefined ranges like so...
1:00:00-1:30:00
2:00:00-2:30:00
3:00:00-3:30:00
and so on.
So, each radio spot is going to sit inside one of those ranges. It's not uncommon to have to make multiple spots for one client, so you build them all on the one timeline.
So, I might want to ripple edit some of the audio, but I don't want the actual region markers to move.
Once all spots are built, I can use Render/Region markers to export each spot as a separate piece of audio.

Fair enough. Well then I'd suggest using the lock feature, as you can lock regions and markers such that no editing (even all-track ripple) will affect them. Just right click the lock button for the options.
