Peak Building - Zoom In / Out LAG - HELP

[BEHOLD]

I'm working with about 80 tracks.

I'm editing takes in individual tracks.

When I zoom in/zoom out, I'm getting a lot of lag and I realized it's from peak building.

Is there any way to increase this performance?
Maybe even shut off peak building for tracks I am not currently editing?

CPU: AMD FX-8120 3.1Ghz
16 gig DDR3 2.2Ghz RAM

Found the solution in Preferences > Waveforms

'Only show peaks for selected tracks'
'Only show peaks for selected items'

Solid. Just posting for anyone who finds this via search engine.
