Hey man - I did it post composition. So, I added a track with AD and copied the notes I wanted to play from AD to a new MIDI file on that track. You could probably do the same thing, actually.

Thanks. I thought that it might be something like this, but I wanted to make sure in case there was a nice way to feed two different VSTi's from a single midi track or something like that.

I'll give it a shot.

Cheers. Can't wait for the next track. Bringin' the heaviness on!

I tried to figure out how to do that, but it was more trouble than it was worth - then I thought that maybe I could fire off a MIDI note with ReaGate from the seperate bass and snare tracks, but thought that I would lose the velocity that way.

Wasn't hard... just a copy and paste and then remapping the notes you want to hear onto the right drum pieces!

Good luck dude! Post up your song when you're thru!

I like how the new track is shaping up! You guys will love it!

I just copy the entire drum midi track to a new track with AD (or whatever) on it, then delete the entire rows of midi notes I don't want to play in this track. Double click the note on the piano roll to select all and delete. It's really easy and fast.

Just to let everyone know:
Arrangement and recording sessions for our next tune will wrap tomorrow.
Chris will start mixing as soon as he can. A week, maybe two and you'll have your new track.
