Clean current project directory - for multiple rpps
Would be nice if the Clean a project directory dialog let specify multiple rpp files whose "in use" files would be be retained after a clean up.

+1 for this.
It has been on my to-do list to code up an action for this, but I'm a very slow starter... Maybe SWS could do this in a lunch break

just to point out, there's MediaSweeper which says on the page it also works with Reaper.
http://www.mediasweeper.com.au/
but to be honest, I'm a bit hesitant of "mass-cleaning" apps like this, so I haven't tested it yet.

Would be nice to see the Clean Project Directory functions incorporated as a mode of the Track Manager's Source Media tab.
The two would go together well.

Mediasweeper is good but it would be great if reaper's clean directory function also look at other project files within the same folder and even child folders.

Yes mediasweeper can check all rpp files in the same folder and not only list the used files but indicate where they are located and if they actually exist in that location.
You can use this product with no hesitation as no files are harmed or actually deleted. The 'unused' files are moved to a folder of your choice and you can delete them permanently yourself (or not) later.
You can also create a range of exceptions ie you can elect not to remove certain unused files eg *mix.wav, lyrics.doc etc, etc.
I'm actually in the middle of adding a 'pack & go' type function which will allow you to copy all the used files to another location - lots of uses for that.

Reason: Edit: You guys must type a lot faster than me - or maybe its because I'm trying to think and nothing's happening ;-)

Hey Runaway. I downloaded MediaSweeper a while back and took a quick look at it. It's actually sitting in my Start menu so it wouldn't completely slip my mind. I'll need to take a look at it again. Thanks!

No problem - it's like anything if it works for your needs then that's great and if the 'clean current project' option suits someone better then that's great too.
If you have any questions, suggestions, etc just let me know.
Edit: Not that it really matters for Reaper users but it caters for a heap of other daws as well

I have just uploaded a new version of MediaSweeper which will now allow you to copy the used files to another selected location.

That's cool Runaway!
Any chance of having a portable version? I would like to keep it in my portable Reaper folder if possible.

I'm pretty sure all installed files are to the same folder as the executable so you should be able just copy them elsewhere.
I could assemble the files into a zip if you need them.
Nearly 4am so let me know later on how you got on and I will sort something out for you if necessary.

Thank you, but don't do it for me only, it wouldn't feel right
Maybe others would prefer it as a portable installation as well. Let's see what others think.

I'd definitely prefer a portable version. I only use portable apps on my DAW machine. Yes, even Reaper... No install please, just a file or folder to drop wherever it feels right.

Cool - I have a few other things to sort out but will get something organised and make a link to a zip file available asap
Edit:
I have posted a link on the mediasweeper website to a portable version. I can only do limited testing to see how portable it is so if there are any issues just email me

What happened with this feature request? I would still love to have it integrated inside REAPER.
