Default Reverse Item with Reascript

Okay so looking through the API there doesn't seem to be a way to set the reverse flag of a take. There is a way of getting it with
Code:
reaper.PCM_Source_GetSectionInfo(src_parent)
but no complementary function to set.

Any hints here? I'd rather not resort to calling actions with reaper.Main_OnCommand(40751, 0).

Check my own reverse items script to see how it can be done.
Free in reapack from reapack.com.

I'll put it on my ToDo-List for my Ultraschall-API.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Following X-Raym's scripts I just went with calling the action ID. Seems simplest despite not feeling super native even though it clearly is.
