You can switch QRange to non linear phase

TDR Nova doesn't do mid/side afaik, and it is not that light on CPU either. The Melda stuff I stay away from as I don't want to install a whole bunch of stuff to get one particular plugin. EDIT: I see you can now select what to install. Will check that stuff out.

Yep, use it myself (also A1 Stereo Control) so will definitely go into the list update.

In TDR plugins the Mid is called "Sum", and the Sides are called "Diff".

Ah, that's why I didn't find it; this setting is for the whole EQ while I was looking at the bands. In QRange you can set individual bands to stereo/mid/side/left/right (ReEQ does this as well)

I do use TDR Nova, but specifically for its dynamic EQ capabilities.

So I did. Turns out that my gut feeling (to stay away from these plugins) was correct; Downloaded a much to large installer to get an EQ that has an incredible small GUI that you can resize (if you find it) but won't save that size, as that is a 'premium feature' in the payed version. Besides that, they couldn't make that bright red message on the GUI any more hideous, now could they. Nice as a demo to see what it does but I can't see myself using this free version as a real alternative to other available stuff.

So I won't recommend the Melda stuff as 'freeware alternatives'. If you drop the 49 euros to get the marketing stuff out of the way it seems quite a nice bargain, but that is not what this thread is about.

Default HELP! NEBULA 3 FREE BUNDLE INSTALLER

Hi Folks! I'm sorry I didn't find this post a few years ago. It is wonderful.

I need your help!!!!
Does anyone have the installer of the Nebula 3 Free Bundle for windows? Could you share with me?
My computer disk broken and I lost the installer. I have searched a lot on the internet and I can not found the installer.
Many of my projects use this excellent plugin. I know that is and obsolete version, but is very usefull for me.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

I see. mmhh.. Isn't there a website called something like *archive* where you can find old stuff?

Or... have you already sent an email to acustica-audio? Maybe they can help.

Have been searching for quite awhile for a free 64bit drawbar organ and it seems basically nobody ever made something like that.

However, Rumpelrausch's AZR-3 was made open source quite a while ago and someone apparently did a (working) 64 bit compile of it.

https://blog.wavosaur.com/tag/b3/

Quite a nice organ too, as it has two manuals AND bass pedals, and build-in valve amp and rotary speaker emulation.

Also added to the master list of course

Default Ripchord

Ripchord (now in v2.1) is a freebie similar to Cthulhu. It doesn't do arpeggios, but otherwise, it's chord capabilities are better than Cthulhu in that it's easier to edit chords, it can play back more than one chord at a time, it has velocity randomization, and you have an option to strum the chords (forward, reverse, randomized).

This is a very useful freebie if you are not good at playing keys, but want to create some chord progressions that you can play with just 1 or 2 fingers.

Of course, it can be as complicated as you wish to make it - for example, a single key press could play a chord that a person would never be able to play.

Hey, thanks for pointing this out! What a cracking piece of kit - love messing around with this kind of thing.

While I was watching the videos for Ripchord, I stumbled across the following tutorial for another free MIDI plug that I'd never heard of:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYkDhC7ZGw0

If you like Ripchord, Harvest Mini can generate some nice melodies to go along with those epic chords!

Here's a nice freebie - an orchestral VST that features strings, brass, woodwinds, and a full orchestra.

What's unusual is that each instrument type plays a full chord - there are no single notes. Each instrument has various articulations - staccato, sustains, major, minor, etc. To play an E minor chord - set the articulation to minor and press an E key. You have lots of control over the articulations via keyswitches, so, for instance, you can play BmSus4 to EmStaccato

So you won't be using this in a standard way. What makes it useful is that it sounds superb. It's certainly worth checking out if you like orchestral sounds.

Default Help... Linux user

So I've downloaded the guide and have tried to find sections that help "Linux users", and haven't found anything really...

I run a Linux mint OS, and would really like to not have to resort to having to reinstall proprietary OS software such as Windows or Apple products. Any guides would be very helpful. Thanks.

Did you download the SINE player - it should have been bundled in the download. So you tell Reaper to open the SINE player which will then give you access to the different instruments.

The SINE player is supposed to let you load up more than one instrument but it would never work for me, so I just loaded up a SINE player for each instrument I wanted to use. SINE seems to have low overhead so I was able to get all their instruments working simultaneously with no problem.

BlueCat Audio Freeware Pack:

mvMeter2 - VU meter

I was looking for a freeware VU meter similar to the Klanghelm VUMT and this one is pretty close. It's a multivariable meter including RMS, EBUR128, VU and PPM measurement.
