Default "Bounce" output sounding nothing like mix...

Hi folks,

Just trying to do a realtime bounce of a very small project here. The reason why I am doing a bounce instead of a render is that I have busses going to outboard gear. Render obviously does not take outboard gear into account, so I thought the bounce would solve that.

Unfortunately this is not the case. I just bounced a small 4-track mix containing sends going to both outboard units and software plugins. When I load the bounced .wav back into Reaper to listen (or play it in Winamp for that matter) it sounds nothing like the original mix. After a bit of closer listening and a/b'ing with the mix, I can tell that the bounce did not capture the sends to the outboard compressor. There is also a shitton of clipping in the bounced .wav that did not exist in the mix.

Any insight is appreciated.

Cheers,
Adam

Err, my mistake. I had some routing going on in Totalmix that I wasn't aware of. I was hearing the hardware sends just fine, but it was via Totalmix, not Reaper. That's why they weren't being captured!

p.s. and that's why the latency was so good =(
