Default Auto Save Backup folder like Pro Tools

I can't for the life of me figure out how to have Reaper automatically save backups into a separate backup folder within the same project folder.

The .rpp-bak files always save to the project directory which starts to crowd the folder eventually.

I also don't want to have to create backup folder within the project and assign it's path in preferences each time I create a new project.

Similar to the audio folder that's automatically created with each new project, I want a backup folder to be created within the project automatically and the .rpp-bak files to be saved there.

Is this possible?
