Hi! I've been trying for a while to create a compact Superior Drummer-like plugins routing and layout - one master-folder with MIDI visible, so that it's very visual but collapsible as a whole.
I minimize my usage of stuff like track manager, or routing matrix because I feel that their UI is bulky, and interacting with these windows is only slowing down my workflow.
Therefore I came up with this very transparent and UI friendly routing. The only downside that I see is that you have to enable feedback routing from Project Settings for it to work.
SUPERIOR DRUMMER is a folder. OUT 1 - OUT 16 are children tracks.
I had to click a lot on these annoying pins but there we are.
Routing window of SUPERIOR DRUMMER track.
This is the routing window of "OUT 1" on my scheme.
Looks very neat!
This way, you can even use the SUPERIOR DRUMMER track as a master bus, just adding effects to its chain the usual way!
Hopefully, I've helped somebody with a similar struggle! I'm also looking for your input on whether this is safe performance/stability wise. I haven't noticed any CPU usage increase or audio issues.
