Default Emu 1820m EDI Cable..?

Hello. In my other thread you see me having problems with my 1820m. After long experimenting I may have at least traced down to it may be the EDI cable..Anyone here have an EDI cable laying around they wanna part with..? Thanks..!

I haven’t read your other thread but the EDI is a cat 5e not longer than 10m.
You might need recapped though, I did, it worked great after that.

Hello..As I have another interface in use at the moment, just a question about the EMU if I may.: I had the EMU recapped by a competent tech.To be fair, he did say he only basically work on analog gear.I figured hey just thru-hole recapping.. so I sent him the pcb. He recapped the pcb but afterwards the unit will not power up..!..Just to get closure from this, what could've gone wrong to cause the unit not to power up ?(from the ethernet bus)..Thanks..!

Recapping is not difficult and can be accomplished by a novice, choosing the correct caps is the challenging part.

I’d start by checking to make sure you are getting power to the card from your power supply, there is a small adapter that came with the card to get power from the psu.
