i had a crazy usage idea after a shiny eureka moment..
import that Faders in to the Grid
and make a Commander Subset to mix subsets in one!
sorry not trying to being pushy

about the

New to LBX stripper and it's fantastic for my Acustica Nebula libraries. Imported some sharestrips though and wanted to adjust gauges but Gauge Edit page just throws up a black screen. Is it a bug? I'm on latest reaper, LBX and windows 10

Ha ha - thanks - yeah it's kind of a bug - but not really too important - I think most people would go straight to closing the message window - and the button's big enough to not miss too often! (or hit Enter).
I'll fix when I get a moment.

There's also this kickass new strip switcher type you can use in Live mode to both add and reorder your strips their fx at the same damn time:
Here's how to set it up (Leon I hope you don't mind me taking the liberty of writing it up):
-Create a new strip switcher
-Right click on strip switcher and set it to Strip Switch Mode
-Right click and choose the folder you want to pick strips from
(or favorites) from the Select Strip Folder menu
-Right click and select Auto-Extend Mode (at this point the right click function will change to the menu that loads strips in, so use control-right click to edit further. Left clicking and dragging on the switcher will now move it around and re-order it if there are other strip switchers present)
-Control-right click on strip switcher and select Set Default Switcher Location
-Control-right click and set the X and Y gaps between the strips
-Control-right click and choose Link to New InsertFX
-You can now save this switcher in your default strips or templates
You can see the process here: https://imgur.com/a/dn8Tmfm
Pretty darn amazing isn't it? We can now bypass the need for the mixer and fx chain window entirely.
On another note, in giving this latest build a run through its paces, I found an error when cutting a track that had a strip added via the new strip switchers:
https://imgur.com/a/peSXMGN
...wner\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\Scripts\LBX\LBX Stripper.lua:22199: attempt to index a nil value (field '?')
And I'd like to give a gentle nudge about some of the remaining bits and bobs to round out the feature, whenever you get the chance:
-auto adding a new 'insert fx' on opening the first new strip on a track
-the strip switchers copy the formatting, text color and font from the first switcher and don't display INSERT: before the strip name
-at the top of the menu where you select the strips: an option to clear the strip and load a blank one (without another strip switcher following it)

Ok - updated. Hopefully the error is gone but I wasn't able to repeat it exactly - so my fix may have just moved the error somewhere else. Let me know.
Need to still discuss the adding a new insert fx bit - I'm still not sure why the first one cannot be added when loading the strip? It seems to work for me. BTW - what is your INSERT jsfx called - it should be
LBX-Insert.jsfx
and located in Effects\LBX\
- formatting should be done now.
- will look into your third point.

Great that everything seems to be working now No idea what was going on with the Insert FX - as I've not changed anything yet to fix it (knowingly).
Regarding this point - have you tried Shift+Right-Click menu? Do any of those options do close to what you want? (Delete Switcher would probably work).

Yes that's perfect! Didn't even know about that shift click menu, haha.
One bug I can confirm from someone's earlier report: the O-B-W controls no longer bypass on a shift click. In addition, could they be made to open the GUIs of their associated plugin(s) on an alt-click like the regular controls do? I miss having that option.

I can add to the main dropdown menu if you think it would be useful - shift+click menu was just kinda convenient at the time...
Will look into the bug - and the open GUI thing when I get the chance.

Hi,
created two strip with just the Track Meters 1-Vertical and 2-Horizontal
(ch 1+2 if make sense)
to use quickly while creating new strips..
strip added to Main Strip track
(which it has no plugin or control itself)
via Ctrl Drag and giving destination Track number..
then i want to replace it to Horizontal one
progress bar stuck at Checking snapshots...
EDIT MODE Control delete (both same .. drag to recycle icon or press to Del):
LBX Stripper.lua:11006: attempt to index a nil value (field '?')
STRIP MODE Strip delete (both same .. drag to recycle icon or press to Del):
LBX Stripper.lua:13437: attempt to index a nil value (field '?')
- i replaced them with the Main Strip Track's Track meters
replacing the Track Meters seems does nothing
so they didn't actually get replaced .. still was flashing..
otherwise they must be silenced..
-i replaced with the Main Strip's Track Control (Width if make sense)
changed type Meter to Knob/Slider
they become the width control but when i tried to delete (EDIT MODE) same error happened..
-motto-
EDIT:
i think its related to existing controls that copied from other tracks
i just tried inserting the same strips to an empty track again via Ctrl drag to define different target tracks
after save project and restart stripper i deleted them with no problem..
but seems still doesn't allow change the target track of the meters via replace from browser..
-motto- still
EDIT2:
i think tracked down now
i tried that old Controls via saving a new strip from them
there was Strip Switcher inside
here is the thing STRIP PAGE delete no problem
in the EDIT MODE
if i just grab the controls via lasso selection or just a dragging from Strip Switcher i get
LBX Stripper.lua:11006: attempt to index a nil value (field '?') message..
but no problem no error if i select via double click to strip switcher and delete them there is no problem..
i hope make sense.

Hi. Currently only a single folder can be scanned per RS5K control.

little note about plugin-pins:
they seem to not be copied over to the new fx in strip-switcher mode. "copy plugin pins is enabled" though.
Do I have to do the pins in the "insert" plug or in the plugin that is in the switcher?
When I do the pins in the FX-plugin itself after first inserting it, and then change the strip via right-click and choose another strip for this switcher, the pins of the new strip-plugin are all empty and not 3-4 for example, which it should be.
Any infos on the pins in stripswitchers would be helpful

also
(might be irrelevant in this case but just couldn't resist to share ..
it was a bummer to me)
anyway,
Reaper Preset Manager also stores & Recalls
the plugin input output routing when you save & load the presets..
so this might be the thing you need to block it in the Strip Switcher ?!

if so just press to "0"
then go start to make your thumbnail pngs
give pngs same name with the strips and keep them side by side in same folder..

Yes - the insert plugin pins will get copied to the plugins within the strip. This may not suit all situations where the strip requires different pin settings. It was more to allow for a specific switcher positions to process on different channels - so you could add insert slots within a larger setup - each would process on different channels.
I've not really gotten round to using it yet - it was more a small thought I had at the time when adapting the switchers to be more versatile. If the insert plugin is not present (not installed or whatever) - then it will be offline and have no pins to map. This is why generally I add the insert.jsfx in bypassed state and not set offline.

Yes - as Timbral states - it's a manual process to screen capture your strip, crop/resize it as you want (resizing will be redone within the strip browser so not necessary except to create smaller file size) - then save as png file in the strips folder alongside the strip - with the same filename.
eg:
DocFear.strip
DocFear.png
The thumbnail icon will be added to any sharestrip you create if present - so will travel with the strip when shared.
I'm awaiting (think it will be a verrrrryy longgggg wait) for some way of exporting an image from Reascript Lua, but I don't think this will be on any priority feature lists. Might be more luck if they open up access to external libraries from Lua - but then you likely lose cross platform compatibility for certain scripts so can't see that happening either...

great, thank you
So I have to set the pins in the insert.jsfx and the plugins inside that switcher should receive the same pins then I guess.
I'll have to try again.
Because I am making a bigger strip where I want to be able to insert different strips for processing the side and mid-portion of a signal and use different nebula-libraries for the processing with different pin-settings.
Using the automatic pinning is a great use-case here
@Timbral, thanks for the heads-up regarding presets and pins. Good to be aware of that.
