allow automation items for master track's tempo envelope
this would allow to easily save an entire song's tempo map and would also greatly facilitate sharing it with others who need to work on a particular song with complex tempo changes.

For saving/exchanging tempo maps MIDI files (containing just a tempo map, otherwise empty) would do I think, no?

alas, no! It actually does work for very simple tempo maps but not if tempo ramps or more uncommon time signature changes (like 5/9) are involved.

This behaviour previously existed, but the devs removed it because of some issues.
