The standalone NINJAM client is just that - a standalone NINJAM client. It takes audio from an external source and sends it to NINJAM, supplying the mix as its own audio output. It does nothing else.
You can use Jack for Windows to route audio between applications, e.g. from FLStudio to the NINJAM standalone client.
Yes REAPER will allow you to load your VST's then by putting ReaNINJAM on the Master Volumes FX you will have all your Tracks an VST's send through to NINJAM.
NINJAM Stand Alone does support some built in effects but its a lot more hassle to use them.
thanks guys, I used VAC (virtual audio cable) with fruity loops and ninjam standalone, but got way too much lag and audio degradation.
I guess I'll have to try it with reaper, do you think it will be less cpu intensive?
Yeah, use the ReaASIO as Fruity's ASIO Driver then set Fruity too output of Rearoute 1/2 then make a track in REAPER, ARM (AR) it then enable monitor (speaker icon on track), then set it's input channel to ReaRoute 1/2 then put ReaNINJAM on MASTER volumes FX using the FX button on the Master Volume slider.
Make sure you haven't got ReaNINJAM anywhere else, like another track etc or you will feed back NINJAM's audio back to all other users.
Latency should be pretty good, compared to VAC, depends a lot on mem and cpu but it's always been pretty low, no lag is normally apparent.
