Default f-ing 2C-Audio

I installed the demo for B2 by 2C-Audio, and it crashes Reaper if I try to remove it from my track, take it offline, or delete the track. Is there any way to recover the project?

Open the project with the FX Offline (check box on the File Open project dialogue); remove the FX, save the project with a new name.

Or, edit the .rpp project file and remove the references to the plug-in (make a back-up copy first)

Not sure how I'd go about excising it from this .rpp segment:

Oh I could just delete that dll. That would probably be a good idea.

ETA: successful

Its an INI type format, just find the entire section for that VST and delete it.

Easy way is to remove dll and when Reaper tries to open the project, the worst part (which is not a big deal) is that it will report a plugin missing.....

I 2nd the DLL removal option, although I'd feel incredibly nerdy and awesome hacking away at the RPP file (so what if its just text!).

No need to remove the plugin - just renaming the DLL will do in a jiffy.

I don't even start Reaper anymore, I just use Emacs to code my RPP's by hand.

Reports above of people having success made me curious enough to re-install it. Not crashing this time, but if I take it offline and bring it back online, it doesn't remember its settings.

I'm tired of being the guy who spends his own time working to debug other companies' crap.

When this happened last week with a different company, they paid me to compensate for the time I spent effectively working for them by reporting details about their bugs. To hell with companies that won't do that.

gotcha.
Andrew Souter and Denis at 2C-Audio's customer service is about the best I've ever experienced.
just thought I'd mention it, in case you ever feel like giving them a shout.
sorry for your troubles.

Thanks. I did give them a shout, and they didn't reply. At least it happened before I gave them my money.

I have used Aether, Breeze and B2 daily on several different PCs and operating systems and have never had a single glitch with Reaper.

What am I doing wrong?

Which version of the B2 demo did you test before posting that? Were you in such a hurry to give head to 2CAudio that you suggested I was at fault before even attempting to reproduce the error? That would be what you did wrong.
