Collab3 B3 plugin question
This is a pretty nice sounding B3 emulation that is free, released by Sampleson to help people make music while locked down:
https://sampleson.com/collab3-free-tonewheel-organ.html
Has anyone tried this?
If so did you find that if you turn on the rotary speaker, then stop playback, the rotary speaker is off when I hit play again even though it is still set to rotary speed 2. I have to click on the lever to get the rotary to turn on. Anyone else experience this?
Thanks?

Hi,
Could it be that the reset message reaper sends on stop/start is messing w you?

Um, maybe. Is this something I have control over and if so how do I change it?
Edit: does the "don't flush synthesizer plugins on stop/reset" under vst preferences affect this, I'll try it later if so...
Thanks!

Hi,
There are reset options in the midi device settings in preferences.

CollaB3 Mapping to Controller
I downloaded this VST a few months ago and have found it to be VERY good emulation of a real Hammond (esp. since it is FREE). It includes control of Reverb, Chorus, Percussion, and Leakage as well as turning the Rotary speaker OFF/SLOW/FAST with surprisingly realistic sound. I have a 1958 Hammond M3 with Leslie 147 speaker that wighhs about 500 pounds between the two, and this VST a very good option (and much more portable).
The cool thing is that you can assign the drawbars to your controller faders/sliders (if you have them) in a controller such as the M-Audio Oxygen49 or 61 (or any other controller). With the VST loaded into a track, click on the TRIM button and this will bring up the Envelope Window. After you click "Learn" for the particular parameter you want to set, move the appropriate slider/fader, button, or knob and the assignment is made. The key if you want to save these parameters is to make sure that you "Save FX Chain" in the FX menu. I also found that you will want to set this up using a different MIDI channel than your main DAW control. This allows you to switch easily between the two.

It's a great sounding plugin, but I had it glitch out on me where a 'note on' message must've gotten stuck & not even the f3 MIDI reset button would stop it. Anyone else have this happen & know how to make it not happen again?
edit- I swapped out the AU for the VST & that seems to have fixed it. Great plugin.
