REAINSERT STOPS SENDING i/o WHEN MASTER TRACK PLUGIN BYPASSED

Here's a strange bug happening in both 6.04 and 6.05 which I can't for the life of me figure out. When bypassing a plugin on the Master 2-Bus in Reaper, my Reainsert instance on a different buss altogether feeding a Bricasti M7 stops sending audio.

By stopping the transport and starting it again, the signal returns. The M7 Reainsert instance hasn't been touched at all but simply stops passing audio, and there is a separate Reainsert on the Master track going to some analog outboard which is simultaneously undisturbed. Anyone think they can help on this one? It's consistent/recreatable on my system (OSX Mojave).
