LOVE the beginning.. Love how the beats are blended and then separate... Nice!

Mysterious..

Really like the vox. Everything; tonal quality - verb is perfect.

Love the lead behind things at 1:29 - was hoping for more!

A lot of really nice subtle touches..

Lovely bluesy licks.. ala Mark Knopfler

Nice minimalist ending.

I could easily hear the drums coming in at some pt and ramping everything up - but respect you kept the 'less is more' approach here.

Lovely, well done Mikael!

Hi Mikael. Very well done as usual. Your voice getting better each time and what a mix on it. Very nice piece. Don't know if you're happy with it but I wouldn't change a single note. The bass is cool too. The guitars etc...

Next time

Took a while to get going for me, so 2:40 was a welcome change. Still nice, open mix.

Thanks all for listening.
Didn't expect THAT positive comments on the mix!

About the drums. I had drums in the beginning, but it was just an annoying snare and I couldn't figure out what kind of drums that would fit.
When I removed the drums ,it changed character and the bass felt like heart beats.
It never cross my mind to ramp it up.

I like it all except for the fact that you keep singing "I love you". Especially starting with that line. It just made it cringe.

Musically it's great though. Love the soundscape and it all blends together really well. It might suit very understated electronic drums.

Thanks for your comments.
I thought about electronic drums before I removed them. I'm not familiar with eletronic drum sound, sound creating, so I skipped it
Maybe it's because English isn't my native language, but the 'I love you' is very important for me in this song.

Having heard the original this is greatly improved Mik. I'd personally still like the vocal to be a bit more up front and clearer, not a criticism just my two penn'orth.

Cool, you've really got that sound/genre happening very well, sometimes I might find the song is a bit long at the start, like Sammy said, other times probably not, in any case, well done.

You could try double tracking the vocal? Real not ADT. Could help?

More something of Billy Idol on the "I love you" for me, and in general. And it's nice.

Well done

Well done. Soothing. Could use a change somewhere, but it still works.

Are you thinking of something particularly?
I would have done more with synths if I could.
I use only only presets with small changes in the ADSR and FX.

I was thinking a change in the form of a brief directional change to the song, like a bridge. It's purely an artistic choice with a song like this and it may not have worked out right. Something like a solo passage that's in a different key perhaps. Just enough to breakup the back and forth chord changes. It could help lift the song.

Hey this is pretty great! Dig the vox, the simplicity and the whole vibe. I was waiting for a beat to come in the whole time though. I would totally put one on there if you'd like to collab. I can hear something electronic and maybe a bit 80's...

EDIT: Ha, it's 120bpm (lucky guess ) so I already started on it....

EDIT 2: Ha ha HA! I guess you could say I was inspired by your tune this evening. I wrote a rough drum part for it and here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g4957n7x6i...Drums.wav?dl=0
Hope you don't mind. They should kick in right when the bass synth does. I tried to PM you this link, but it wouldn't work for some reason.

Let me know if you like it and maybe I can work on it some more.

Not my genre at all but I thought the music mix sounded great. Loved the guitar tone when it came in for the fills. In my headphones the vocals were a little harsh/crisp which was a little distracting. Seemed like they didn't quite "sit" in the music, if that makes any sense. The low end riff sounds cool but was quite repetitive. I kept hoping for a change of some sort, or some drums, etc. Keep in mind I'm a pop rock standard song structure kind of guy so take my comments with a grain of salt

Thanks Sam.
Harsh vocals is a neverending battle for me and yes, it could be better.
I'm not satisfied with the vocals, but couldn't do it better, so I kinda gave up.
FoxAsteria has got the stems, so maybe we will hear some more varied mix.

Guitar toward the end is pretty damn sexy, and I don't like using the word sexy in this context at all.

I like the percussive nature of the bass and how it adds a nice foundation to the track to build on, as well. (=

Thanks! Yea I didn't think it needed much, but I was definitely hearing the things I added, so thanks for letting me do that. Mind if I do a final mix and put it on SoundCloud?

I think it's a decent take of this recording-- different perspectives can help form wider panaromanic views of a particular 1 'thing'. ThanX as well.
Enjoyed. =)

ps. forgot to ask @msundh-is that grainsynthesis?>>or what type of opening effect is that there? curious if it's granular,or not..we know your modulating something!!! heh.

Hi
It's Prism, preset: Epic Swellpad, with some minor changes (FX, ADRS).
