Default Media Item Markers

Markers contained within media items. Can be colored or named just like normal markers. When there are takes each take would have its own markers per lane and if you dragged the takes out the markers would flow out as the marker is attached to a specific time within the wav.

This would allow users to mark specific moments in specific items, as opposed to just moments on the overall timeline. This would help a lot with organizing different ideas or phrases, particularly when a list of takes is involved.

Isn't this already implemented? I remember seeing some items with vertical dashed lines. I think if you export item with markers, then they show after importing. Possibly there is a way to write markers into item without export/import.

+1, I could use item (take) markers quite often.

I think stretch markers are actually relatively close to item markers in functionality already, suggested this when stretch markers were added, but no luck yet...

That's cue markers I guess.

But as they are written in the audio files directly, no quick way to move / remove / rename them without re-writing in the file afaik, so imo not really ideal for item markers.

This is also why REAPER is not a fun all-in-one mastering DAW.

We need the ability to attach markers to the start of an item, end of an item, or to the audio samples of an item.
