Focusrite softube bundle

Hey all, I just purchased a scarlett 18i20 and got it set up and working with Reaper just fine, but I can't get the included softube plug ins to work..I've put the filepath in and when I clear cache and re-scan I get an error message that it's either corrupt or not compatible with Windows. Any insight? Thanks!

Maybe some authentication issue ?

Maybe some 32 Bit / 64 Bit issue ?

Maybe some files the dll needs are missing ?

No problems here whatsoever, Softube bundle provided by Focusrite working fine.

Please note that Softube plugins require iLok account and iLok software installation. Did you follow Focusrite's installation & activation steps?

I've been trawling the forum looking for issues similar to the one I'm having now and this is one of them.

I, too, have the free Softube plugin pack (Saturation Knob, Tube Delay, TSAR-1 and Drawmer S73) which came bundled with a Focusrite 18i8.

On my ThinkPad T520, REAPER is unable to load the plugs and hangs on startup when scanning them. The entries for these plugins are all truncated in the reaper-vstplugins64.ini file.

On my ThinkPad P50, however, REAPER loads the same plugins without a hitch.

I emailed Softube regarding the issue and will report back if they reply with anything useful.

They wrote back and told me to authenticate the plugins with iLok License Manager... 😬

That worked, but to my credit the plugins should have loaded whether or not they were licensed and then reminded me to authenticate on first run. That's basically how every other plugin works.

Anyway.🙄
