It's getting OT so I promise I'll start a new thread for Git/versioning, but meanwhile I suggest having a look here (that's a pretty common branching model I think which I also use, "Git Flow".) Another nice thing is, SourceTree has build in support for this.

Its a vertical bar | , well I've found this for OSX maybe it will help :
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1875126?tstart=0
copy paste :
Quote:
well actually this depends on where you live and what keyboard settings you have chosen
in us keep the "shift" key pressed and type "" this will give you "|"
if you live in germany like me this will be "alt" + "7"
if you live elsewhere you can go to to the system preferences > international
select the input menu tab and active - if not done already - "show input menu in menu bar" at the bottom of the window.
then in the menu bar a little flag of your country will appear. when you click it you can select "show keyboard viewer" this will give you a live view of your keyboard.
when you press shift or alt or both the keys will change accordingly.
this is quite useful if you look for a special character

Thank you Sexan and also for your involvement in Radial. I can found a workaround when i switch to American keyboard.

Oh, shit - I didn't realize not everyone would have that key.
Suggestions for a symbol that's a) not commonly used in labels and b) available on every keyboard are welcome.

button response
Everything works fine, but i feel something like a "delay between two mouse clicks".
Time before second click seems long and gives the (false) impression to react once every two.
On a repetitive action (for example, a button to increase the value of an automation point by 1dB), it's like "waiting one second" before clicking again.

Thank you so much for this Lokasenna, You should be really proud of this because it's absolutely brilliant, I will be sending a donation, I have been digging into Reaper over the last two weeks and have been blown away over and over again by what it can do, and then you bring Radial and it gets even better.
Reaper is my new daw, the rest don't come close,

Then you're going to be really happy in a couple of minutes, as soon as ReaPack finishes checking my update.

Updated to 2.4.0:
Important:
- Selecting buttons in the Setup script changed from right-click to shift+click
New:
- Actions can be told to repeat as long as the mouse is held down (see Help)
- Actions can be performed multiple times per click (see Help)
- Repeating actions, multiple actions, and midi actions can be used together (see Help)
- Added ; as a new-line character in button labels, since not all keyboards have |
Fixed:
- Delay when clicking the same button rapidly
- Realized I was updating the mouse state twice on every loop of the script

The above are super-cool additions/changes.
The Help for Button Commands and Context Tab has disappeared.....

Oh, shit. Give me a few minutes.
Edit: In the meantime, they should still be there if you use the mousewheel rather than clicking it.
Edit 2 - Edit Harder: Fixed, should be on ReaPack shortly.
Edit 3 - The Final Editing: Left a few debug messages on, updating again.

Thank you very much for fixing.
Each separate click works well, but do not "click too fast" because the action (although without definite repetition) can sometimes "repeat too quickly". In my case select next / previous automation point for example.
Otherwise for keys with repeat defined, this works well.

Do you mean SWS/BR: Select next envelope point? I just tried it here and the "feel" seems pretty good - it goes as fast as I can click, doesn't seem to lag behind or skip ahead.

I use this action : "SWS/BR: Move edit cursor to next envelope point and select it" but with "SWS / BR: Select next envelope point" it is the same result, skip (but never delay).
In fact if i just click a little bit more slowly and all is well, no skip ahead. It's not really a big deal.

Lokasenna,
Love the 'repeat' and 'multiple' actions, plus the fact they can be combined = awesome!!!
One thing I think would be cool is the ability to assign two separate commands to any button. One for right mouse click and one for the left.
Cheers!

Were you spying over my shoulder a few hours ago?
I'm just trying to sort out Sumalc's clicking-too-fast thing and I'll have a new version out later tonight.

Excited for this as well. I'm working on a conceptual production workflow based almost entirely in radial menu. I'll use modifier keys with my mouse's side buttons to open different menus and use WASD controls to trigger the actions ( http://imgur.com/a/wUdV5 ) This would mean I would rarely if ever have to move my hand away from the ideal position of WASD, every command would be a couple key presses away. Take that, early onset carpal tunnel!

It would be great to have one for every menu, if possible.
Also when the keyboard shortcuts are implemented, a reaper action to close any open radial menus would be useful I think.

Updated to 2.4.5:
New
- Right + middle mouse actions for each button. (Hover will always use the Left action)
Fixed
- Double-clicking an action would occasionally run it an extra time or two
- Help menu was misbehaving

I've been holding off on it because I couldn't think of an easy way to do this. However, I just remembered that my Repeat Action script makes its own scripts that you can load as actions.
Something just got bumped to the top of my to-do list.

There can only be one script window open at a time, unfortunately, so you won't have to worry about that. However: ReaScript: Close all running ReaScripts

Middle mouse button as well, you must have read my mind. This thing just keeps getting better and better. Such an amazing work flow enhancer.
Bye, bye native toolbars.

Thank you Lokasenna for fixing and for the new features, everything work perfectly now with Left click, no lag, no skip.
Right click work also, but with the same behavior that I described earlier : "delay between two mouse clicks". The time before second click seems long and gives the (false) impression to react once every two.
(Mac osx 10.11.6)

On MacOS 10.8.4 here. Whichever key i use it appears, disappears, appears again and works fine after that.))
I see you can't test on OSX. How can i help you with that? I've seen the debug script but kinda didn't get it :/

Sorry, I realized last night that I hadn't copied the fix over to the right- and middle- code. I'll have it in the next update.

That's a new one.
In the Setup script, Options tab, trying increasing "If no key is detected, close the window after..." a bit. It's possible that Mac has a longer gap between the initial "D was pressed!" and when it starts repeating "DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD".

Thanks!) Had to increase up to 500ms to stop that behaviour. Could be related to my OS keyboard preferences, but i'm ok with that solution.

Hey Lokasenna, found a couple bugs, one with exiting menus that have less buttons than the main menu creates a visual glitch. The other is the bar on the right side of the menu when the size is set to be smaller than default- is it possible to have the window smaller?

Lokasenna,
Could you maybe add a delay 'action' to the button commands?
It would be useful for executing actions that rely on mouse cursor position.
User could enter something like [delay 1000.0 'action'] which would give enough time to position the mouse. Maybe even add ability to combine with the perform action multiple times command a couple of ways.
[delay 1000.0 x3 'action'] --This would delay the action each of the 3 times.
[delay 1000.0 'action' x3] --This would delay the first action, but the other 2 times would execute without delay.
Cheers
