Default Song with measures of 2/4

I am working on a song that has measures of 2/4 in two places in the song. I have put in markers for the time signature changes. I also put in the markers to revert to 4/4. I saved the song. The next time I open the file, the markers have moved. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

it seems to work ok and as expected for me...

when setting the tempo markers to 2/4 you did check the box to the left?
and then also do that to return to 4/4

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did check the boxes. I found out what is causing this. If I bring in a midi track, it moves the markers to two measures later.

that is because the midi file is including a tempo map of its own... and when you drag and drop it into reaper, you should get a dialog asking if you want to include the tempo map... you could choose to not and just use what you have already set up

I finally figured out it was something to do with midi tracks, but I didn't know how to fix it. Thanks for the help.
