reaBendo [R5mkII] Advanced v.2.x theme loosley based on Cubendo 4
**reaBendo [R5mkII] now Reaper v.2.x Compatible
new mixer icon too
July 25 (later in the day)
Tweaked the scrollbar a little for better performance.
the latest is reaBendo [r5]c - attached below.
July 25:
-Added a Scrollbar and i think it's yummy.
-Tweaked the TCP folder off icon - more of a contrast between the First and last folder icons providing an easier view of scope of a folder track.
The attachment below has been updated. reaBendo [r5]b
cheers,
T

Ok, so it wasn't finished before... But I think it is now. The latest Version: reaBendo R5a more TCP icon tweaks and clean up (july 23).
Latest additions: some icon tidying.
Transport Icons for Media Browser and Midi Editor.
Better VU meters... all have been redone.
- The Smooth faders are in the alts folder
- To tint the panels of this version, move the following files into the alts folder:
tcp_bg.png
tcp_bgsel.png
mcp_bg.png
mcp_bgsel.png
______________________
At last, i have finished... well I may still tweak some things... Like that transport icons on the midi editor and media explorer.
it is not an exact replica of Cubendo, but close, and based on Screen shots from my (dusty) C4.
Alas! no nifty .bat files (but nothing to swap out either. Tis was don using Gimp, and if anyone wants the raw files, I s'pose i could send'em to ya
The toolbar icons are big, 'cause I like 'em that way, but you can scale them down if ya like.
Have fun and enjoy!

Much kudos for putting the effort in, I know there'll be a lot of demand for this and it looks like its going to be spot-on!
One suggestion: to match the cubendo track width, you might like to do this explicitly as a 1.5 scale theme?

OK . . . I'm totally diggin' this, Tal! Really nice work! Can't wait to see this available for use! Right up my alley.
I suspect I would use this theme a LOT.

nice. although the record-arm icon would look better if it would be perfectly "round" imo ...

Very nice so far Mr T.
I especially like the clean, clear appearance of the media window.

Looks awesome.
White Tie is right, this should be scaled as a 1.5 theme.
The Nuendo gui is huge in comparison to REAPER.

Really nice man...easy on the eyes. For me at least I tend toward the lighter themes as I can work longer without as much eye strain....looking forward to the final product. Thanks

Update!
Greetings... and thank you kindly for the feedback thus far! I have made some updates:
automation modes icons (I am no longer stealing Youn's thanks. )
Folder toggle and status icons
I/O icons
I will probably continue to borrow Youn's record mode icons... they rock and work well with this.
last remaining tweaks:
colours for markers, regions, etc... adjusting media bgs and loops selected media colours...
possible experimentation with 1.5x size theme (although, that may not happen - I don't mind sacrifice exact replica for added screen real estate).
it's close!

This is going to be the BEST reaper theme out there. I can feel it. Keep it up!
Btw, did anyone else notice the clever
labeling of automation modes? VERY slick! Good luck!

Seconded. IMHO, the size is fine (and very readable, etc.) at 1.0 size, and one of the things I like about Reaper's user interface is that I can easily work on a fairly typical mix and get pretty much everything I need to see at any given time on a single screen, and then only use the second screen if I REALLY need the extra space for Emulator X or something that is likely to take up a lot of space on its own. It's also better for laptop users if it's not too big.
I can always use something like WT's Cornish theme if I've got to see things from across the room.
This theme is REALLY looking great, Tal!

Tali,
Its obvious you really spent lots of time and effort on this one. It looks really classy and is now my favourite (for this half hour segment anyway...)
I'm an ex Sonar user who would have tried Cubase if I'd known that it's gui was this classy!
Cheers

Grace
a google-toolbar spellcheck!
maintenant comme Reaper et si belle, j'espère que toutes ses dispositifs
(think midi set) se trouverais dans la royaume de beauté.

Thanks man... oh! and could you please pass the potatoes?

the contrast of text to background is great, a very readable theme which for me its a must have, the blue-ish theme is soft on the eyes, and the fader buttons are not as bulky as some of the other 3-D themes.
I'm going back and forth between the 3D and 2D themes. I have been using a slight mod of an aldi stealth theme for 2D and Cornish for 3D.
The one thing that I miss is the grouping one can achieve with 2D themes by custom coloring the backgroud of tracks.
In anycase I can see myself using this theme quite a bit.

Nice theme!
Off-topic -- I notice there is a record button next to all the drum sub-tracks, which I assume arms all those folder sub-tracks for recording with one click. I don't have that in my Reaper (newest version). What's up with that?

i dunno.. perhaps it's cause the drum folder was one of the randomly selected record armed tracks for the screen shot.
